Light, crispy, and stuffed to the brim – Japan’s viral fried sandwiches, or “sandos” first gained attention in Tokyo’s chic Ginza district. The crispy-fried sandos have now arrived in Singapore, exclusively at Tamago-EN, no passport required.
Tamago-EN at NEX unveils its Tama-Sando line-up, bringing Japan’s latest viral snack trend to local foodies. Famous for its dedication to egg-centric dishes, Tamago-EN transforms shokupan – the beloved Japanese milk bread – into pockets of pure indulgence. Light and airy on the inside, each slice is gently fried to a crisp exterior before being packed with a variety of sweet or savoury fillings. Think crispy toast, but upgraded into a hand-held delight with everything from whipped cream and strawberries to egg salad and even beef steak.

Sweet Sandos That Wow
L > R : Tiramisu Sando, Strawberry Sando, White Peach Sando
The Strawberry Sando ($5.50) brings a classic Japanese pairing to life, with luscious whipped cream and sweet-tart strawberries tucked into a crispy fried shell. For something more delicate, the White Peach Sando ($5.50) offers juicy peaches with floral undertones, enhanced by crunchy walnuts and a dusting of cinnamon — like summer captured in every bite. Coffee lovers will gravitate towards the Tiramisu Sando ($5.50), where layers of mascarpone cream and coffee-soaked biscuits are wrapped in golden crisp bread, giving the Italian dessert a playful, textural twist.
Savoury Sandos for Serious Snacking
Each savoury sando features Tamago-EN’s premium Japanese eggs imported from Okinawa, UV-sanitised for safety and so fresh they can be eaten raw.
The Chicken Nanban Sando ($5.90) stars crispy fried chicken drenched in a house-made tartar sauce, all elevated by the rich yolks of their signature Okinawan eggs in the tangy Nanban dressing. The Egg Salad Sando ($5.50) is an indulgent take on Japan’s beloved convenience store staple — creamy and smooth. Finally, meat lovers can sink their teeth into the Beef Steak Sando ($7.90), generously filled with tender beef slices, crisp lettuce, and a sunny-side-up egg for a protein-rich, deeply satisfying snack.
