Yatsushiro Food Fair Highlights: From Fish Mart Sakuraya to Sake+ and Beyond

The Yatsushiro Food Fair is now in full swing at Fish Mart Sakuraya (Parkway Parade), Sake+ Orchard Somerset and other participating locations, giving food lovers in Singapore a taste of Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, through a carefully curated menu of local specialties. Featuring premium Yatsushiro ingredients, each dish celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage and bold flavours.

Fish Mart Sakuraya (Parkway Parade)

The limited-time menu at Fish Mart Sakuraya (Parkway Parade) includes the Chilled Ginger Noodles with Tempura ($17), offering a refreshing yet hearty bite with aromatic ginger noodles; the Sea Bream Carpaccio ($12), brightened with yellow Yuzu Kosho for a citrusy zing; Teriyaki Chicken with Spicy Mayo ($7), subtly enhanced with Yuzu Kosho for a punch of umami; and the comforting Kikurage Mushroom Takikomi Rice Set ($20), made with umami-rich Kikurage mushrooms.

Other treats, from Shio Tomato and Nama Wakame Salad to Kikurage Mushroom Maki and the classic sweet Ikinari Dango, showcase the versatility of Yatsushiro produce—from tangy citrus to vibrant Hachibee tomatoes and earthy mushrooms. Each bite brings the authentic tastes of Kumamoto to Singapore, making the fair a must-visit for adventurous eaters and Japan food enthusiasts alike.

Round off your Yatsushiro experience with bagging home some specialties such as the (top left to right) Yatsushiro Banpeiyu Giant Pomelo ($70), Cooked Kikurage Mushroom (Tsukudani Style), Kikurage Mushroom Rice Mix, Ginger Noodles, Kyushu Barley Granola and Pafuco (puffed Job’s tears snacks).

Sake+ Orchard Somerset

Meanwhile, diners at Sake+ Orchard Somerset can enjoy a different take on the Yatsushiro condiments, including the Hachibee Tomato & Ginger Dressing Char Siu Salad, the Kakurezato no Yuzu Kosho Pasta, and the sweet Banpeiyu Pound Cake, bringing Yatsushiro’s signature flavours to a casual dine-in setting.
