Kura Oyster & Highball Bar Offers Free-Flow Oysters and Cocktails Buffet

If you’re an oyster enthusiast who lives and breathes Japanese seafood, you would not want to miss this.

Tucked away in Telok Ayer, Kura Japanese Oyster & Highball Bar is known for serving up Japanese-inspired cuisine, in particular its fresh oysters and a strong emphasis on seafood-centric dishes. Good news for all oyster lovers because they have just recently launched their new promotion of FREE-FLOW Oysters and Cocktails for just S$45++!

With a minimum order of any two dishes (except cold appetisers and dessert), diners will get to choose unlimited servings of oysters and cocktails. Only available on Mondays and Saturdays, from 6 to 7:30pm or 8 to 9:30pm, it is a 90-minute free-flow buffet with Japanese naked oysters and cocktails.

Free-flow Oysters and Cocktails Promotion

Kura exudes a chill and moody atmosphere, and since it's all bar seats at the counter, you're in for a super intimate vibe, especially when it gets busy.

There is a selection of Hyogo, Sakoshi, Murotsu, and Kujukushima oysters. For our meal, we had the raw oysters from the Kujukushima Prefecture which were extremely meaty and plump with a rich flavour of the ocean.

For the perfect oyster pairing, indulge in Kura's enticing array of handcrafted cocktails available in four options: Mimosa, Triple Peach, Yuzu, and Sparkling Wine.

Ala Carte Menu

To complement the oysters, we also nibbled on a variety of small plates. The Signature Kanitama Mentaiko Gratin ($19) is a definite must-order. It is loaded with Japanese snow crab, gratin, and pollack roe, while the creamy mentaiko sauce is then blow-torched as a finishing touch to deliver a smoky and charred flavour.

Next up were the Gyoza Wings ($15), a delightful fusion of flavours featuring a savoury filling of minced pork and cabbage encased in a crispy, golden-brown shell. With each bite, the wings offered a satisfying crunch and a burst of juicy fried chicken.

To wrap up our dining experience, we savoured a comforting bowl of Smoked Duck Somen ($14). The Hiroshima somen, bathed in a light and flavourful broth, was adorned with flame-seared smoked duck slices, a shoyu-seasoned egg, wakame seaweed, and fresh spring onion.

The Oyster and Cocktails Buffet is an ongoing promotion so round up all of your oyster-loving friends and stop by Kura for a cozy place to hang out and feast on some creamy Japanese oysters!

Weekday Ala Carte Oysters Promo

If you're unable to visit on those particular days, don't worry, as they offer another special promotion of $1.99++ per oyster exclusively on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for their Ala Carte menu from 6 to 8pm.
