Executive Pastry Chef Tai Chien Lin has drawn inspiration for these pastries during the Sakura season in Japan, coming up with well-loved home-baked scones and savoury delights.

The Sakura Afternoon Tea features a spread of classic Japanese desserts inspired by the beauty of cherry blossoms. Delight in Sakura Tea Strawberry Tartlet, Sakura Raspberry Rollcake, Sakura Yuzu Verrine. The Sakura Namelaka Coconut Sable is a well-loved Japanese crispy coconut cookie paired with a light pink floral cream. Another unique item is Sakura Matcha Mochi Profiterole, a light pastry with fresh vanilla cream that has a unique texture of chewiness.

The Sakura Afternoon Tea is served alongside the signature homemade original, cranberry, and savoury scones, complemented perfectly with clotted cream and rose petal jam. The Rose Veranda is highly famed for high tea back in 1991, with an elegant and serene ambience. It serves modern European cuisine and high tea set with great freshness, seasonality combined with creativity.

The restaurant serves a high tea set menu consisting of luxurious tête-à-têtes over dainty sandwiches, pastries, and freshly baked scones served with clotted cream. Some unique savoury items include - Whipped Foie Gras Choux, “Smoked Egg” that consists of smoked dungeness crab salad, grilled corn espuma and espellete pepper.

A unique dessert option is Beehive Cake Honey Pecan Cake which is made from cinnamon syrup, mascarpone chantily, and honeycomb candy. Another interesting option is Resurrection Garden Tart Coconut Frangipane, made from strawberry compote, fresh strawberry, and edible elderflower.

The afternoon tea session is served at the historic national monument - The Fullerton Hotel, enabling a British-like experience. They are currently offering Purple Afternoon Tea with colour-themed desserts until 28 March 2024. This is to commemorate the occasion of International Women’s Day, with purple being their official colour. These desserts are meticulously curated and handcrafted daily by Executive Pastry Chef Siddharth Prabhu and his team.

Chef Jamie has come up with a purple medley of savoury and sweets, together with edible blossoms. Various teatime treats includes cucumber sandwich and classic blueberry violet cheesecake, with further offerings of classic assortment of handcrafted sandwiches and delicate pastries.

Indulge in luxurious purple sweet treats such as Mulberry choux, Blackberry Sakura Chocolate Tart, and Elderberry Macaron. The Dancing Violette is a unique cake that is available, with it boasting delicate flavours of the almond frangipane, orange chestnut and cassis cremeux.

Other savoury items include Boston Lobster with Ikura, Purple Cabbage Dust, Ikura and Chicken Rillettes, Blueberry Lavender Jelly, Macadamia. The Dill-cured Norwegian Salmon, is served with caviar and sour cream on a paprika bagel, and has a strong burst of flavours.
