Experience Limited-Time Sakura Serenity Buffet At Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel

This spring, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore invites diners on a sensory journey to Japan with its all-new Sakura Serenity Buffet, held at Food Capital from 16 April to 15 June 2025. The buffet is priced from $72++ per adult for lunch from Monday to Saturday, $102++ per adult for dinner on Sunday to Thursday, and $112++ per adult for dinner from Friday to Saturday.

Inspired by the fleeting beauty of Japanese cherry blossoms, this seasonal buffet is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese flavours and modern culinary craftsmanship, curated in collaboration with Michelin-trained Chef Elson Lee, whose 27 years of experience promise an unforgettable dining experience.

Guests can look forward to an exquisite array of Japanese delights, from premium sashimi and sizzling yakitori skewers to delicate desserts infused with matcha and black sesame.

In addition to this exclusive springtime menu, Food Capital continues to offer its popular selection of fresh seafood on ice, well-loved Asian favourites, and international classics.

Live Stations

Okonomiyaki

For the live stations, the menu rotates depending on the chef’s choice of the day. There was Okonomiyaki prepared fresh on the spot, as well as an Oden Station with classic favourites like eggs, fish cakes, and chikuwa.

Japanese Ramen

For those who love their carbs, head to the Japanese Ramen station where you can select all the ramen toppings you want including bamboo shoot, fish cakes, bean sprouts, and more.

Protein

For meat lovers, choose between the Herb Crusted Roasted Beef, Japanese Yakitori Chicken, or the Thai-style Marinated Lamb Leg that will be sliced on the spot by the professional chefs. You can also pair it with a variety of sauces like the Red Wine Sauce that complemented the roast beef perfectly.

You also must not miss out on the other exclusive main dishes like the Hirosu Agedashi Tofu, Japanese Pumpkin in Dashi Stock, Braised Pork Charsiu and Japanese Grilled Mackerel.

Seafood

Seafood on Ice and Sashimi

The Flavours of Japan sashimi counter features seasonal air-flown sashimi from Japan offering fresh Hamachi (only for dinner), salmon, tuna, and octopus. Meanwhile, the Seafood Island stars the well-loved suspects such as freshly shucked Japanese oysters (only for dinner), snow crab legs (only for dinner), scallops, flower clams, black mussels and green lip mussels.

Japan Specials

Fried Food

For the fried goodies, you can look forward to Japanese tempura like Japan Shrimp Gyoza, Pumpkin Croquettes, and Roasted Chicken. There is also assorted Japanese mushroom tempura, fried maki, and fried prawn tempura.

Sushi Belt

This two-meter-belt of sushi is a sushi lover’s dream come true! With handmade tamago by Chef Elson Lee, california maki rolls, and more, this would definitely satisfy your sushi cravings.

Japanese Salads

To get your greens in, opt for the special Japanese salads featuring Tomato Salmon Salad, Kaisen Sarada (Seafood Salad), and Chef Elson Lee’s signature creation, the special pitan tofu with tobiko atop a tamago.

Desserts

Pink Chocolate Fountain and Pink Mont Blanc Ice Cream

For a sweet ending to your buffet, wrap up the sumptous meal with an endless selection of sweet treats. It was a struggle to choose between all the desserts when everything looks irresistible! You must have the Matcha Azuki Mousse and Strawberry Mousse (left). Although it may look unassuming, the Strawberry Daifukus (right) were undeniably our favourite dessert of the evening — encased inside the pillowy soft mochi skin was a juicy strawberry topped with sweet and creamy red bean paste — a perfect Japanese dessert in our books!
