Let The Rumbling Begin! ⚔️

When I heard that this collaboration was going to happen on 1st April 2022, a few days shy of my visit to the Attack on Titan: The Exhibition, I was thrilled. This is the first time that ANIPLUS Café is holding a shōnen collaboration and shōnen is my favourite type of anime. How lucky! They are celebrating the final season of Attack on Titan and this means an exclusive experience complete with kawaii desserts, official merchandise and aesthetic background.

How to Visit the Attack on Titan x ANIPLUS Café

Exterior of ANIPLUS Café

You have two options if you want to visit the café:

  1.  Show up on the day of your visit and walk-in. You will be able to secure a seat on the spot if reservations on that day are not full. Otherwise, they don’t accept walk-ins on days where they are fully booked.

  2. Make a reservation in advance online through the ANIPLUS Café website. I’d suggest this option if you are on a tight schedule and know the specific day that you want to visit.

The Attack on Titan: Final Season collaboration will be held until 9th June 2022. So rest assured that you will have ample time and opportunities to visit and experience the collaboration café!

What It Is Like in the Café

Attack on Titan x ANIPLUS Café

ANIPLUS Café is a concept store that combines the “Collaboration Café” concept from Japan, where a café features a particular anime or character theme and usually double as an official merchandise store.

Inside, the café is decked in Attack on Titan: The Final Season wall art, standees and monitors playing the series-related clips. The remodelled space highlights remarkable Attack on Titan characters and the café counter has also been redecorated with artwork from the anime series!

Attack on Titan Themed Food & Drinks

You can find the menu displayed on the counter screens

I don’t know about you, but what I look forward to most when visiting themed cafés (especially character ones) are their menu items. After being seated, we dived into the menu straight. The café has both sweet and savoury items featuring a range of western dishes, inspired by the revolt and dramatic events in the world of Attack of Titan!

I wished there were more choices though.

These are the food and drinks that we chose:

  • Welcome to Paradis Island

The omelette rice with curry inspired by the scene where Eren tosses the Marleyan ship on the shore off Paradis Island.

  • The Dessert Cart

Inspired by the Cart Titan who carries ammunition and supplies on her back.

  • Revenge for Liberio

Apple crumble dessert inspired by the scene where the Jaw Titan crashes through the ground below Eren.

  • Mikasa

  • Jean

Although not mind-blowing, the food tastes decent. With every SGD 14 you spent on the menu, you will receive a set of premiums which includes a sticker set and a postcard. You will also receive a specially designed Large Postcard if you purchase SGD 15 worth of Attack on Titan merchandise, and an exclusive Character Can Badge for purchases SGD 25 and above. Oh! and you can choose your favourite characters too.

I can’t take it with these chibi style… too cute please!
